Story

Last week my math teacher introduced me to pendulums and fractals. I spent the whole weekend zooming into Mandelbrot sets and watching double pendulums go chaotic. I couldn't stop.

I've always been into math and the cool things you can build with it, so I made this YSWS to share that with y'all. Build something weird and mathematical, get paid for it.

FAQ

Do I need to know advanced math?
Nope. The math behind most of these is simpler than you'd think. The tutorials above walk you through everything.
Can I use any language?
Anything that runs in a browser. JavaScript, TypeScript, p5.js, Three.js, WebGL, whatever.
Does it have to be a fractal?
No. Any interactive math toy counts. Fractals, physics sims, visualizers, anything.
How do I track hours?
Hackatime. It runs in your editor and tracks automatically.
What LED panel do I get?
An RGB LED matrix panel you can hook up to a Raspberry Pi or Arduino and display your math toy on.
Who can participate?
Anyone 13-18, anywhere in the world.
